Big Time Rush and the OC Fair.

My Steph and I took our kiddos on a date to the OC Fair to see Big Time Rush. It was their first concert that will actually remember. Jillian did see Rick Springfield when she was 3 years old but, she has no memory of that night. He was also my first concert at the ripe old age of 9 (thanks dad and kathy).  Maybe that is why I still LOVE concerts so much. Nothing is better than live music that you can sing along with. And believe me, those kids of ours were singing and dancing their hearts out.

31 years of friendship. Wow.

Watching the (not so great) pre show.

Jillian. A rocker, just like her dad.

My blue eyed beauties.

This one put on his own show. He has the moves and loves to dance. (kinda like someone i know. who me?)
He never stopped moving. Hence the blurry pictures. You get the idea.

A special surprise. After the concert we headed over to the cake decorating exhibit to see our Aurora's cake. She had placed 3rd in the OC fair theme cake decorating contest. We were excited to just see the cake and look who we ran into.

AURORA!!!

She had come to see her cake on display too. A super sweet treat.

We are so proud of our Aurora. For those of you who don't know, Aurora was our Nanny. She helped raise our babes and we are so blessed to still have her as part of our family. xoxo

makeover.

Using my new favorite color scheme, I gave my blog and my living room a little makeover.

Cleaned off my mantel and added these new white pots and plants.
I love this clean look.

Where there once was a blank wall, there is now a chalkboard.
It was so inexpensive and easy.
Just a little paint and framing materials and VOILA.
A message/welcome board for our family and friends.
Craiggers and I completed it in just a few hours.

Friday Night Fever.

Last Friday, we went to the Angels game.  It was the first time our kids had been to Angels Stadium. I know, I know... We live only 15 minutes away but, we had just never taken them. They were ecstatic.

Okie joined in on our fun.

 We'll be back!

Stars and Stripes.

This 4th of July was filled with fun, laughter, and good old American Pride.

We participated in the cutest little patriotic parade ever.

Our Roller Skating Grand Marshall. Adorable SARA!

While they scooted and rode, I held up the sidelines with my crutches.

Then it was time for water balloon launching with the gang at our friend's house.
XO to Craigers who took all these picture since I was not moving very fast.

Our "Dirt in a Skirt" Kid.

I LOVE these ladies.

I hope that your 4th was "Sparkling" too!

Summer Faces.

I love summer! The easiness of the day, the non existent schedule, late dinners, good family and friends, and my being with my J's all day long. I am content and so are they.

Girls.

I have grown up with these girls. We have all gone from "the new girlfriend, to the fiance, to the wife, to the mommy." The four of us just fit and I am SO thankful for them and their friendship. This is what summer should be... catching up with friends, good music, sundresses, hats, laughter, and LOVE!
