Fair Favorites!

Every summer we spend one delightful evening at the OC fair with our J's. This evening did not disappoint.

Fits me to a T, don't you think?

Carlson + Goodwin + Rich = Family LOVE.

Every few years, we all come together and go on vacation. The first time: Hawaii sans Jilly (she was the only grand kid at the time) was divine. Second time: a cabin in Lake Tahoe (with our three kids) during the worst snow storm in 50 years. Who knew we would spend 3 days snowed in and have to shovel 3 cars out from under 6-7 feet of snow? Third time: a charm. PALM DESERT for some fun, sun, and quality family time.

Daily Routine: Wake up late, hang out, pool, ice cream treats, BBQ, cocktails, and Just Dance for the Wii.

It was the perfect week from beginning to end.
The only thing missing was the large family picture. Well, there is always next year.

Dinosaurs and Tar Pits.

My Aunt Joanie and Uncle Phil treated us to Sunday afternoon of Museums and Lunch. It was a day full or fun and learning for ALL ages.

First Stop...  The Natural History Museum, Dinosaur Exhibit. This exhibit has just opened and is simply  amazing. We were all in awe. The best part for me was watching the J's take it all in.  The twins could read all of the signs and information cards for the first time and Jilly (our scientist) helped them with the larger words. It was very sweet. I also no longer felt like "that CRAZY mom with the twins." The stayed with us, were well behaved, and had no major meltdowns. A far cry from a few years ago.

I love this one of Jo and Uncle Phil.
This is serious business.

Second stop...

Lunch at the Original El Cholo Restaurant in LA. My Auntie Joanie can never get enough of their guacamole. Isn't she the cutest Great Auntie? I think so.

 Third Stop...
La Brea Tar Pits. This was a first for the kiddos, Craig, and Uncle Phil. It is completely fascinating.

Jackson's feet were tired at this point. It's difficult being the "small fry" of the group.

Following the tracks.

Someone got sticky.

One last pic before

heading home.

Thanks Auntie Joanie and Uncle Phil.
"Who LOVES You?" We do!!!
